TRAVEL ESSENTIALS: MUST HAVE FOR EVERY TRIP

One of my favourite things to do in this world (outside of spending time with my family) is traveling. Most of us would have to admit that we do occasionally forget to pack an item that we really need. This can certainly be frustrating, even though there are many products that we may be able to buy once we reach our intended destination. There are, of course, some travel essentials that are really irreplaceable. When we're at home, we almost take it had granted that we have pretty much everything that we need. Things are often different when we are traveling. We need to remember to pack all of the holiday essentials. So, how good are you at packing?

In my own experience, I've noticed that most people do remember to pack their really vital travel documents. It's relatively rare that people do forget about things like passports and airline tickets. It tends to be some of the other essentials that are most frequently forgotten. There is a list of items I will never leave home without, no matter what the trip, these include:

Luggage, Decent                           

Luggage is a good idea, especially if you travel often. Cheap or basic luggage really can be a false economy. Plenty of padding and secure locks are likely to mean that your suitcase lasts the journey.

Lip Balm and Moisturizer 

Whatever the season, but particularly in colder climates, keeping your body lubricated is crucial for comfortable travel.

Compact Toiletry Bag 

 A small compact toiletry bag that you can carry in your purse or in a small carry-on tote, just in case you or your luggage ventures off course.

Computer

You might want to take a computer with you. If you're going to be keeping a blog or record of your journey, or just want to be able to upload your holiday photos to your favourite social networking site, you might not want to have to find an internet café or use a public computer in your hotel.

Ear Plugs and Eye Mask 

Another essential for successful travel is sleep and depending on how smoothly everything goes, you never know where you might have to catch your beauty sleep!

Electrical gadgets and chargers

Make sure that you've got memory cases, straps, leads and the other vital accessories you'll need. You'll also want to make sure that you've got your phone with you. Perhaps you'll only use for emergencies whilst you're there, or maybe you're travelling on business and will need it all day every day for work.

Pet Supplies
If you're traveling with your furry loved one, don't forget to pack a backpack for him. He'll need his toys, a lead/leash/collar, food and water (including his dishes), a blanket or bed, and if traveling outside the country-you'll need his papers including vaccination records.
